According to one of the sales staff, this is one of the best sellers (in the Kawagoe branch). It is also one of the cheapest, costing less than 300 yen (before tax). I think it is the only thing in the shop that costs less than 300 yen! I quite like the simplicity of this cream puff - cream puffs are quite basic at their core anyway. The cream puff looks the part - impressively generous, with a large choux shell packed full of cream. The filling almost spills out from the center, creating an indulgent appearance that immediately catches the eye. The shell has a pleasant texture with a slightly crisp exterior that contrasts nicely with the soft filling. Inside, the cream is rich, smooth, and creamy without feeling excessively heavy.

Although Mon Plaisir's Cream Puff (Choux Cream) is enjoyable, there are several factors that may limit its appeal for some customers. The first is that it is a very traditional dessert. Those looking for unique flavors, seasonal ingredients, or visually dramatic pâtisserie creations may find it somewhat ordinary compared with the bakery's more elaborate cakes and mousse desserts. The generous amount of cream can also be a drawback depending on personal preference. While I personally appreciate an abundant filling, others may find the texture becomes repetitive after several bites. I have bought it before and I will buy it again.
