I really liked the look of this coconut flavored "loverouge", one of Patisserie Mon Plaisir's original mousse type desserts. It is very atypical and quite photogenic. It is from their "Petit Gateaux" range. The regular "loverouge" is very popular and is strawberry flavored. This one is coconut on the outside, with raspberry mousse and a whole piece of mango inside. The coconut is purple; I don't know if it is colored or if was flavored with something. Unfortunately, I can't eat mango, but thankfully as it was a whole piece I was able to just lift it out of the dessert.

The texture might not be palatable to some, as it is that distinct coconut texture. Something I grew up with and love, but a couple of other family members (Japanese) took a bite to taste and didn't like the texture. The price is also higher than average, but these are homemade cakes from a high-end cake shop. Considering that, it is fairly reasonable I thought. It is not something I would pay every day, but good for a special occasion. As far as I am aware, this is a special limited-time offering, so it is not available regularly.
