The description

This product is a pack of classic 'levain'' crackers by Yamazaki Biscuit (YBC); conveniently comes with nine individually wrapped packets of six crackers.

The good

I always like to have crackers in the house since I moved to Japan. Living in a country where natural disasters happen all too often and commonly without warning, crackers are a very convenient food to have a constant supply of. I particularly like these crackers from Yamazaki Biscuit as they are more subtle than the widely available Ritz crackers, and I prefer their texture over Ritz too. In addition, I like that this size packet has nine individually wrapped packs, each with six crackers. They are a great size for a handbag or school bag, for a quick snack on the go.

The not so good

For those that are dedicated Ritz cracker fans, the texture and simple taste of Levain might take a while to get used to. Also, if you are sharing between several people the larger Ritz packets might seem more convenient, but I would argue that being able to give up to nine people their own individually wrapped packet of crackers is also convenient and much more hygienic! Overall, I personally don't have anything bad to say about these classic crackers. But as I said, those who prefer a stronger taste might find them a bit too simple.
