I was drawn by the packing of one of Yamazaki Bakery's newest bread products in April of 2025. They actually gave the title of this cream and chocolate filled croissant "extremely fresh", which I do think is a bit cheeky. But in fairness to them, the croissant did taste fresh! The cream filling was delicious and there was enough of it. Sometimes these bakeries can be a bit stingy with the cream! Generally though I find Yamazaki Bakery get the amount right. I had a similar product in the past (I don't think it was Yamazaki bakery for the record) but the chocolate filling was hard. I didn't like that. This time the chocolate filling is soft and creamy which I personally much prefer.

I don't really have anything bad to say. Its not filling, but I don't think its supposed to be filling - I would speculate that it is more of a treat than a lunch time meal. I did get it as a lunch, because I was on the go and I knew it would be convenient to eat in the car. Even though it has a cream, or as they call it "whipped milk" filling, it wasn't messy. In hindsight, a croissant probably isn't a great choice for eating in the car, as they can be quite messy. But this croissant wasn't messy at all. The packaging is not only cool, but easy to open too.
