FamilyMart Celebrates 20 Years of Famichiki with Three New Flavours

FamilyMart is marking the 20th anniversary of its famous Famichiki fried chicken with a series of special limited-edition flavors. Released over three consecutive weeks, the new range is called "Otona★ Famichiki" (Adult★ Famichiki) and aims to offer a more sophisticated taste than the classic version.

The first flavor, Smoky Pepper, combines black pepper with a smoky aroma for a spicy kick. It launched on 29th September and is designed for those who enjoy bold, peppery flavors. 

The second flavor, Sesame & Sansho Pepper, arrived on 6th October. FamilyMart describes it as featuring two kinds of fragrant sesame seeds paired with the distinctive tingling sensation of Japanese sansho pepper. 

The final release, Pizza Flavor, debuted on 13th October. Made with tomato-based pizza sauce and Parmesan cheese, it recreates the taste of a pepperoni pizza and is intended to pair well with beer.

All three flavors were released in limited quantities nationwide and are priced at ¥258 including tax each. While the original Famichiki remains a convenience store classic, these anniversary editions offer fans a chance to experience the popular snack in a completely different way.
