Friendly and helpful staff

Immediately outside the north exit of Sakura City in Chiba Prefecture, you'll find the Sakura Tourist Information Center, a small office with friendly and helpful staff. The staff provided me with both English and Japanese maps and recommendations of what to see on a walking route for a day trip. They were great informants, considering the amount of time I had and what I wanted to see. The center has bicycle rentals for 500 yen a day, a good option to see a wide variety of historic spots in the city. Sakura is also walkable with nearly all the sights within a 30-minute walk of Sakura and Keisei Sakura Stations.
