Pick your confectionery, see how it's made
The Google Maps pin for this destination is confusing. You'll see that the English title implies this retail shop and factory is about candy. It's Okashi no Shiro Nasu Heartland. However, the products are delicious baked confections in the Western idiom. They're meticulously packaged and come in wide varieties. The factory production on two floors is visible behind huge glass windows. On the first floor, visitors can observe the manufacturing of Goyotei no Tsuki. The steamed cake filled with custard cream is named after the Imperial Villa located in Nasu. The second floor has observation windows for the cake and cookie production line. The shops sell the items in presentation packages and by the piece. I recommend the latter, as you can discover flavours and textures. Next to the parking lot there are benches and a lawn shaded by trees.
