Quick service restaurant in parking area

Asaya restaurant is in the Kamikawachi Service Area on the Tohoku expressway, inbound for Tokyo. There is a food court in this parking area too. The restaurant is hidden away with a small entrance at the back of one corner of the shopping area of the service area. It is very basic in appearance with very plain table and chairs. They have partitions instead of walls and it feels very cheap and unwelcoming. However, the staff are very friendly and the service is efficient. The menu isn't great, but if you want table service rather than self service it is a suitable alternative to the food court. They have kids meals for 750 yen that come with a drink and a treat. They are junk food, but not as bad as a fast food restaurant. Adult meals start from 1,100 yen.
