Middle shrine, treasure house, and hiking route

By the time you get to Chugushi, you've probably already observed two of the other elements of this shrine precinct - the sacred bridge Shinkyo and Futarasan Shrine near Toshogu. Chugushi, the middle shrine, has the treasure house on its grounds. This treasure house has many historic and valuable swords and regalia. What drew me to Chugushi was the walking path that starts at a gate. Hikers are urged to sign in here before making the pilgirimage climb to the okusha shrine. It's of course a lovely place on the lakeshore in autumn.
