Lovely Hotel in the Countryside (with a Dairy Farm!)

My family chose this place for our winter trip in December 2017 and we loved it! The price was reasonable, the room was huge, the onsen was comfortable, and the breakfast buffet offered farm-fresh morsels. It was a fabulous experience. Apparently a lot of couples come from Tokyo for a little getaway, what with Tochigi being closer to Tokyo than a lot of places, including where we drove from in Miyagi. I am left wanting to return for two things that we didn't get the opportunity to enjoy. The first is the lovely circular fireplace in the lobby, which in December seemed to always have a lingering couple cuddling nearby. The second is the dairy farm on site, which can be visited by guests but only within certain time frames, which did not fit with our itinerary. We still visited the tiny cheese shop, near the cow pens, which sells some pretty delicious homemade cheese. We were warned that the cheese would go bad before we got it home, but we managed to ship it quickly and enjoy it thoroughly.
