Year-round colours, winter illuminations

I'm surprised at the absence of reviews of this spacious flower park. Ashikaga Flower Park is open year-round and puts massive LED light displays in winter. According to the park, it is listed as one of the three big winter illumination spots in Japan. The 2025 event, Hikari no Hana no Tei, lights up the hoary wisteria arbors with tasteful graduated colours set to classical-inspired music. The park's concessions and plant nursery are open, too. You can pick up ornamental cabbage plants in a bewildering variety of colours and sizes, plus poinsettias, small and large. It's a good spot to take photos of your family and/or your date.
