What's the most economical mobile phone family package?

My kids are clamoring for their own phones as they enter high school. I want to grant them phones for connectivity without going broke over monthly and hidden charges.

Just as a reference point, have a look at NTTdocomo's シェアパック / share pack plans. 30GB a month at ~ 22,500 yen going down to 5GB a month at ~ 6,500 yen (for families with 3-5 members). Here's the link: https://www.nttdocomo.co.jp/charge/new_plan/bill_plan/packet/ If you can handle the Japanese you can do a payment simulation on their site, here: https://www.nttdocomo.co.jp/charge/new_plan/simulation/index.html This post (in Japanese) compares docomo with IIJmio, with a family of 4 coming out at 6,400 yen a month. Tips for a trip to Nagasaki/Fukuoka/Saga/Oita?

We're trying to head down to Kyushu for a little break later this year, and if you've been to any of the abovementioned prefectures before (or even live there!) I'd love to hear your suggestions for cool things to do and see - preferably the cool spots that guidebooks or online resources might not cover! Thanks in advance!

Living in Miyahara-shi

I have been asked to consider a role that is based in Miyahara-shi. If I went for this job I would be on my own (family will not be able to move initially). Would be good to get some idea of any expat community or life in the area. Whilst I have some very rusty and basic speaking Japanese I would need to be able to communicate at least in the early days in English. Any input?
