Then came the opportunity that changed everything. The company I worked for launched a program called TIJ which stands for “Teach in Japan.” It was aimed at people like me , experienced tutors who wanted to take their teaching careers to the next level and immerse themselves in Japan. The moment I saw the announcement, something in me said, “Go for it.” So I did. I applied, went through the screening process, attended orientations, and submitted all the necessary documents. And to my surprise and excitement, I was accepted. Moving to Japan was both thrilling and nerve-wracking. I had never lived abroad before, and this was a huge step out of my comfort zone. But the moment I stepped foot here, I knew it was the right decision. The environment, the people, the schools, everything felt like a fresh chapter in my life.
