A photo gallery of some of the horses I saw on my walks during January. The reason there are so many horse statues and pictures around the place at this time of the year is because 2026 is the year of the horse in the Chinese zodiac, a zodiac Japan also subscribes too. All 12 photos in the photo gallery were taken in Saitama Prefecture in January 2026. I think most of the photos are self-explanatory, but the one of the gate - it represents a horseshoe! Can you spot the Totoro in one of the photos too!?
