Glico Papico - Black Grapes

Browsing that ice cream aisle again... I found Papico's Black Grapes flavor! I guess towards the end of the year becomes grape season! I'm usually pretty skeptical on grape flavored things, due to it tasting plain gross. But, I am not here to discriminate! I have trust that Japan makes the best flavors (or the weirdest). Plus, I love limited flavors, so I had to get it.

Interesting enough, I was trying to read what the kanji said for the flavor and it translated to Black Panther haha! But then I realized it was, "kuro (black) budou (grapes)". I guess grapes are usually written in hiragana versus kanji so that threw me off. 

The color was a deep purplish red, I'm acutally not even sure how to describe this color. 

Overall, I surprisingly enjoyed this flavor a lot. I'm usually not a big fan of grape flavored sweets, but this Papico flavor was really good. I'm not good at describing what it tastes like but it is a lot more sweeter and not medicinal flavored as grape flavored things in the States. I'm not sure if it is because these grapes were were black grapes and maybe I haven't tasted black grapes, versus the usual lighter purple or purple red or light green grapes.
