Calpis Soda - Mango

I think one of my favorite carbonated drinks in Japan has to be Calpis Soda! I actually prefer it over the regular Calpis non-carbonated drink. Since I love the regular flavored soda so much, I was excited when I saw they have limited flavors, such as this mango one I found! I was a bit skeptical since mango flavors are usually really sweet, but they are also really good at the same time. I had to try it for myself!

I love how cute this packaging is and how milky yellowy orange the liquid looked. The classic polka dots on the packaging was fun and the little bubbles by the mango picture looked refreshing! I was so excited to try it!!

After my first sip.... I honestly was pretty disappointed at this flavor. I may have hyped it up and expected too much, but it was pretty sweet and unnatural. I mean, what do I expect from these types of drinks, but I was somehow hoping for a more subtle flavor with this Calpis Soda.

I've seen other limited Calpis flavors, but now I am a little hesitant to try them knowing that I was sadly disappointed with this mango flavor... we shall see though!
