Spicy Chicken Sandwich Ritz Crackers
Found this strange snack for around 150 yen and was curious.
Ritz sandwiches are the kind of thing I think only exist in Japan, but I'm not sure. It could be like Oreo with flavors - they supposedly exist in the States, but I hadn't noticed because I don't usually eat them anyway.
I did eat Ritz as a kid, so they have a kind of nostalgia for me. But I mean the regular buttery crackers and not the sandwich type. There are of course cheese cracker type snacks I have seen before but things like chocolate cream Ritz were totally new to me in Japan. I have tried those (maybe a store brand) and liked them, in a feeling snacky sort of mood.
Spicy Chicken though. I was really thinking these could go either way, and after tasting, they are not the greatest.
The box has a couple packs inside with probably too many sandwiches for two people to finish off at a time, but we did.
They basically tasted like really artificial cheese spread was used. I didn't really taste it but my husband said the spice was like 'chicken seasoning'... or mostly salt and pepper. I didn't think they had a chicken or spicy flavor. (Spicy in Japan is nothing for me, as usual.)
Kinda strange, but the other pack will be just fine for several months, ready in case of emergencies. I might not be tempted otherwise.
