Yanagawa Nori Treats
One of the teachers I work with (not yet, technically) at an elementary school is from Yanagawa City in Fukuoka Prefecture. It's known for the girl's day festival and foods like nori.
We met to discuss scheduling and he gave me the above pictured treats as omiyage.
The one on the left is "Yuzu suko flavor nori ten" which are like nori tempura chips with a yuzu kosho flavor. They're really easy to eat and the crumbs at the bottom would make a nice furikake too. Recommended unless you can't tolerate the spicy peppery taste of yuzu kosho.
On the right is "nori kuro," a little tube of black nori and yuzu kosho flavor paste with recommended uses on tofu, pasta, hot dogs, whatever. We put a little on sashimi and it was nice, but I think it's gonna go great with zaru soba the next time we eat that.
If you see these at a Fukuoka local foods 'satellite' shop in your area, give them a try!
