Shonen Jump is Turning 50!?

So I noticed the other day that Shonen Jump! is turning 50 years old next year.  First of all, that makes me feel old.  I mean, I grew up on Shonen Jump and was still reading it when Dragonball and Dragonball Z were part of the serials...

But it also got me wondering what kind of cool stuff would be taking place to commemorate Shonen Jump turning 50.  That's when I discovered that the Mori Art Center has a special exhibition for Shonen Jump.

The Mori Art Center has special exhibits on the 52nd floor of the Mori Building in Roppongi Hills, usually with accompanying themed cafes.

I went to the Marvel Exhibition a few months ago, and it was fantastic.  My buddy and I spent a few hours reading every sign and checking out every part of the exhibit, and I have no doubt that this Shonen Jump exhibition would pique the same level of interest for me.  Not to mention, I saw the cool cafe menu where you can get a Dragonball or Kinnikuman-themed sandwich.

Alas, Tokyo is a bit far for me to visit these days.  Have any of you readers out there visited?  I'd love to hear if it was worth the 2000 yen (feel free to share in the comments section below)!

Hitting the books once again as a Ph.D. student in Niigata Prefecture. Although I've lived in Japan many years, life as a student in this country is a first.

Blessed Dad. Lucky Husband. Happy Gaijin (most of the time).
