The description
This product is the new "Pino Numa Strawberry" flavor, and you can find it at convenience stores at the moment. The pack was priced at 226 yen including tax.
The good
Pino is often releasing new, seasonal flavors of their ice cream bites, and this Numa Strawberry option is the latest to hit convenience store shelves. The first thing I noticed about these when I opened the packet was the fact that they had a strawberry-like appearance, with pieces of strawberry flavored sugar "dotted" onto the chocolate coated exterior to look like strawberry seeds. Props for attention to detail! Flavor-wise, these are fab, too. The actual ice cream contains 20% strawberry juice so there's a really good depth of flavor, and the outer chocolate is strawberry flavored too. You really do get your fix of strawberry in various ways with these!
The not so good
Flavor-wise, I don't have any complaints about these -- I would say that typically I prefer ice cream flavors like vanilla or chocolate, but these were so good that I would get them again. One downside is obviously that they're a limited time only product, so you've only got a short window of time to enjoy them. They're also only a convenience store release, so you won't be able to find them at supermarket chains. Well worth trying if you're a fan of all things strawberry at this time of year -- hope that if you try them you enjoy them as much as I did. Happy eating!
