The good
At Family Mart stores right now they have a few fun frappe options, including a Black Thunder inspired one and this Crunky inspired ones. It's a great option if you're after a drinkable sweet treat, and at 380 yen including tax it's basically half the price of a frappuccino from Starbucks -- so I absolutely count that as a win! You have to use the special machines to whip it up (it comes fully frozen), but then you have a delicious drink that has chocolate puffs throughout it to recreate that crunchy texture that Crunky bars are known for. Really fun and tasty!
The not so good
If you're not a huge fan of textures in your beverages, then this frappe won't be the best option for you due to the chocolate puffs throughout it. Also, if you like fruitier, lighter frappe drinks during the summer, then this won't be the best option either -- it's quite indulgent-tasting. Overall though, I really liked this. I thought the texture throughout the frappe was a fun addition, and it did a good job of replicating Crunky's trademark crunch. Not sure how long it'll be available for, so head in to your nearest Family Mart store ASAP if it sounds like a must-try for you. Happy sipping!
