This sweet potato brulee donut has been a fixture on the Mister Donut autumn menu over the last few years, and it's back again for the 2024 fall season. The donut part has actual sweet potato powder in the dough, and the top contains a caramelized sugar coating that's dusted with powdered sugar, although the amount of powdered sugar on top has decreased as the price has increased ;) The caramelized sugar brulee topping has a good crunch to it, and it's definitely quite sweet -- if you do have a sweet tooth then this might be a good donut option for you to try.

As I mentioned above in the positive features section, this donut has been doing the rounds during past autumn seasons. Last year it was priced at 183 yen, and in 2022 it was 172 yen -- it's a solid reminder of how much prices continue to rise, and I don't think the quality of the donut has gotten any better...in fact, they've skimped on the powdered sugar way more than past years (here's the 2022 donut as an example: https://www.city-cost.com/blogs/genkidesu/zDYrL-foods_product) My family likes trying the fun seasonal donuts from Misdo so it's an indulgence that we share (we're a family of four so end up cutting the donuts into quarters), but I don't think we'd repurchase this one more than once in an autumn season.
