The description
These products are film-style index tabs -- one in a fairly regular shape, and the other in a circular style. They were marked down at Muji for 100 yen plus tax each.
The good
If you appreciate keeping books or journals orderly, whether you're using textbooks for study purposes, writing notes for work, or mapping out your schedule in a journal, these film tabs from Muji are very useful for that. I like that they're film-based, not paper-based, since I feel like they don't get raggedy-looking, and you get several colors in each pack which is helpful if you're trying to distinguish different dates, chapters, or so forth. Since they were marked down to only 100 yen including tax, they were actually cheaper than what I would pay for these at a 100 yen store (those items would be 110 yen including tax). Because of that, I think these are a really good deal!
The not so good
From a long-term perspective, the fact that these are film-based means they won't biodegrade in the same way that paper tabs will. Yes, they don't get as ratty-looking as paper ones, but the environmental impact isn't great since they're ultimately just plastic. I do still find them super useful, they help keep my planner organized, and I think they would be excellent for school students or university students trying to mark out sections in textbooks and the like. Keep an eye out for them at your local Muji if you have one nearby!
