It's no Sapporo Snow Festival, but it's cool nonetheless!

As much as I'd enjoy traveling to different prefectures for certain wintery events like the Sapporo Snow Festival in early February, it's just not in the budget right now. It's part of why I was happy to see at a local temple that they'd made this super cute Hello Kitty sculpture out of snow, and it's Year of the Horse themed!

Things like this make me so happy to live here, since there's such an appreciation for creating beauty in the most unique ways. How fun that they thought to incorporate Hello Kitty with a very appropriate seasonal touch!
