Japan's clever marketing

In my home country, character-themed foods are fairly targeted to kids. You might have cartoon favorites on boxes of cereal, packets of potato chips, or a variety of chocolates and other sweet treats.


At 7-11 this week, though, it made me smile to see a potato salad up for grabs with packaging that looked like a Pokeball. They're either marketing to adult palates or they're keen on diversifying kids taste buds, but either way I thought it was a bit of fun!

    I saw this Pokeball item, too! Like you say, a clever way to use the shape of the packaging. The contents are delicious, too.
