We've bought Moonstar sandals ever since my daughter was small, and always had good experiences with them. These ones are sturdily made, and I feel like they have a bit of a "cool" factor with a slight height/platform to them. They're still quite athletic sandals though, and have functional, adjustable straps around the toes and the ankle so you can get a fit that feels just right. This particular style also comes in a couple of other colors (purple and beige) if you aren't really a fan of the black and white look. I opted for this colorway since I feel like black holds up a bit better to the rough and tumble play of kids!

As I mentioned above, we've purchased Moonstar sandals for a while, and my daughter's feet were getting a bit too big for her existing pair (a different style that is no longer made, that I could find) so I opted for these in a size up. Unfortunately, they do seem to be right about the same size as the previous style she had even though they are a size up, so I'll have to return these for a larger pair. If you are considering this particular shoe type, I would suggest sizing up from the centimeter size you think you'll need as they do seem to run small. Overall though, sturdily made and cute to boot!
