If you love anything sweet potato flavored, this is such a delicious ice cream and well worth trying. It has actual chunks of sweet potato intermixed with the ice cream, and I thought it worked well -- the sweet potato was ultra smooth and didn't feel out of place. The sweetness was just right, too. Not cloyingly so, and the chunks of sweet potato added a nice natural sweetness to the rich ice cream. Overall, I thought this was a fab product, with the taste and texture both solid 5 out of 5s for me.

As is always the case with Haagen-Dazs, it's a more premium ice cream and as a result it comes with a more premium price tag. 319 yen is a lot to pay for a small cup of ice cream, but I do think it's important to let yourself indulge occasionally. For me, I love all the sweet potato things at this time of year so it was a nice little treat. If you are also a fan of all the sweet potato things during autumn and you'd like to try an ice cream that fits the season, I highly recommend giving this product a go -- I don't think you'll regret it!
