Go go go to Gosen for their tulip festival!

Cherry blossoms are a big part of spring here, and I think sometimes other flowers get lost in that conversation. Tulips are one that you can enjoy in several places here in Niigata, and a top-tier option is in Gosen.

This year their annual tulip festival is on until the 19th April (so you still have a few days to go check it out if you're a local!) and it really is impressive. You can pick your own tulips (priced at 12 tulips for 1000 yen) if you want to take some home with you, too!

There's plenty of parking, and if you can manage to visit on a weekday you'll avoid a big chunk of the crowds!
