Papercrafted Christmas decorations
We put up our Christmas tree this weekend! I am sure that some people are in Team “that’s way too early” but hey - when you’re living here as an expat sometimes you’ve gotta do what you’ve gotta do to feel festive as soon as possible.
It was also inspired in part by the fact that one of my husbands friends made us a bunch of these lovely paper ornaments. Apparently it’s not the same as origami - the paper folding technique has a different name which I have forgotten (if anyone knows please feel free to chime in!) but we love the uniqueness and traditional charm they add to the tree.
Anyone else tried to papercraft their way to some Christmas decorations for their tree?

German Christmas stars, Fröbelstern. When I was a kid, we made heaps of them, often decorated with glitter, and hung them on the tree and fireplace mantle. Thanks for reminding me to make them.
