McDonalds Happy Meal Toys - far more intense than you'd think!

In my home country if you get a Happy Meal from McDonalds, you're pretty much guaranteed that the toy is going to be something flimsy and plasticky that ends up being the bane of most parents' existence.

We still on occasion enjoy a sneaky McDonalds trip here in Japan, because #comfortfood, am I right? Anyhow, long story short my daughter got a Happy Meal the other day, and you can imagine my surprise (and delight!) when the toy was this...

Yup...a full diorama type setup! I was blown away by the level of detail.

The set had all you would need to create an entire bedroom type setting for this bear family. A bed, small table, a wardrobe (complete with functional hangers for clothes!) and even things like teacups and a cupcake to put on the table...and a pot plant!

I gotta say it was adorable - but ooooh, it's not the easiest thing having a two and a half year old try and construct a diorama. Lessons in patience, right?!
