Things I love about Japan: mundane made cute

One big thing I love about life here is that even the littlest day to day things are often made cute. You see it on IC cards, on roadwork barriers, in the mascots that represent city offices, and so forth.

A recent "mundane made cute" item I saw was Vicks throat lozenges, which have collaborated with the popular character Chiikawa so your lozenges can go inside an adorable case.

I don't think anyone enjoys feeling under the weather and having a sore throat, but I think these would make it a touch more manageable!
