The description

This product is a manual coffee grinder with three different coarseness settings, and I purchased it from Daiso recently. It was priced at 500 yen plus tax (550 yen in total).

The good

One of my husband's work colleagues recently gifted us some coffee beans, but typically we buy our coffee pre-ground. We didn't want the coffee to go to waste, so I had a look at Daiso and found an inexpensive grinder for 500 yen plus tax! There are a few things to like about it. The device is easy to put together, and you just turn a handle to grind it. Super easy, and a kid could do it -- our son actually volunteered to do it for a while. The full thing holds about two days worth of coffee, and the container itself is tightly sealed so you can leave the coffee in there once you grind it and it won't go bad. There are also three coarseness settings, so if you have a preference on how finely ground you like your coffee then there are options there as well.

The not so good

This is a manual grinder, not electronic, so grinding the coffee takes a long time. My husband's recommendation is to maybe sit down and watch a show to pass the time as you do it. I would say that this is a decent option to grind beans if you're looking for a budget friendly option and don't grind beans all that often. If you are someone who regularly buys whole beans, then I think you'd probably want something that is going to be quicker and easier. Overall though, not bad for 550 yen, and it means now we can enjoy our freshly ground coffee!
