Where we live in Japan requires snow boots for several months of the year, and these ones from Amazon (by a brand called Morendl) are a pretty solid kids option. These are a glossy-finish black pair, but they come in several colorways including a matte black, an olive green, pink, purple, and even some patterned varieties with camo or sharks. Basically, I think there's something to suit just about every kid's preference. They seem sturdy and well made -- I think they'll last until my son fully grows out of them. I think the black will also mean they'll stay looking cleaner than some of their brighter colored counterparts, too ;)

Since these are a glossy black instead of matte, I'm curious about how they'll perform over time from a looks perspective. I don't know if constant wear will make the glossiness look more dull and flat, but we'll see in a few months I'm sure. That aside though, they seem good so far, and I also like that they fit true to size. My son was able to comfortably put them on right away and start to use them, which was convenient. Overall I think I'd buy them again, just probably in one of the matte shades rather than the glossy kind.
