Tea or coffee? A hybrid!
I’m a coffee and a tea drinker. I have times of day where I’ll prefer one over the other, and oftentimes I’m just so indecisive that I don’t know which I want.
Well, Japan has helped (somewhat?!) in putting that debate to bed for folks like me - a new drink rather appropriately called “Tea Coffee”. Think part cafe latte and part cup of tea and you’ve got the right idea.
I really wasn’t sure what it was going to taste like, so I poured a little into a glass. Color and consistency wise, it looks like a latte that has just been diluted with water. The smell isn’t bad, but I wouldn’t call it appetizing...and the taste?
Personally I could definitely taste both hints of coffee and of tea. Initially I thought it was gross but tried to give it the benefit of the doubt and went back for some more afterwards. The verdict? Better, but still probably not a drink that I’d go ahead and repurchase. I’ll just have to get more decisive when it comes to my choice of beverage!

@Lyssays oh gosh that’s a good point! thankfully i didn’t have much of it at once, but it’s a big bottle (500ml!) so if you had it all in one go it would be quite a lot!

This reminds me of a drink I had in Hong Kong which is coffee and their delicious milk tea. It was just meh compared with either on their own.
