Colors of the season

A lot of our local rice fields are getting ploughed at the moment, but I just wanted to savor the color of them before they get cut! I think the yellowish color of the rice plants at this time of year contrasts so nicely with the deeper green of the trees of the surrounding hills and mountains. 

I feel so lucky that I get to see this kind of scenery just walking around day-to-day at this time of year. Before long all the fields will be ploughed and they'll be looking far more barren (and then snow time will be just around the corner!), so it's even more impetus to enjoy the season while it lasts!
