New season, new noms: 7-11's Milk Tea Daifuku

I quite like daifuku, and I find that my local 7-11 seems to have a steady rotation of different seasonal flavors. The most recent one I tried was their milk tea offering, since I love bubble tea (the kind with the tapioca balls in it) and a friend told me that this had an outer that was like that in taste/texture...  if tapioca balls could be said to have any taste.

It definitely had an exterior like it, and I could see the link. Inside the filling is a milk tea flavored whipped cream (these things don't photograph well) which was just okay. It wasn't bad by any stretch, but not something I'd reach for again. Think I'd opt for my bubble tea fix in beverage rather than daifuku form!
