It's Pokémon Day!

I've learned a lot from other blogs on City-Cost about interesting days that are celebrated here in Japan. One that I know about that falls today, February 27th, is Pokémon Day!

The reason it falls on this date is because Pokémon (Pocket Monsters Red and Green) was first released on February 27th, 1996. This year marks 30 years of all things Pokémon, so it feels like an extra special anniversary.

My kids really love all things Pokémon, from collecting cards to playing the video games. I hope that we'll also be able to visit PokéPark Kanto at some point...I'm sure it will probably be extra crazy there today.
