Hokkaido no longer the cool summer getaway

Several years back now, my family and I took a trip to Hokkaido in August because it was about the coolest place in the country and we needed an escape from the oppressive heat.

However, it seems that nowadays, Hokkaido is no longer the pleasantly-fresh summer getaway spot. I saw on the news yesterday that it's going to hit 39c in Kitami, and 38c in Obihiro. 

It's also going to be 38 in several other places across the country today, so keep cool and stay hydrated!
