Surprisingly good for pasta in a bag

I like pasta for several reasons -- it's versatile, filling, and relatively inexpensive, too. This fresh fettucine with truffle cream caught my eye at Kaldi Coffee Farm recently, and I was pleasantly surprised with how good it was for a heat and eat pasta product. The actual pasta itself managed to be perfectly al dente (not going to lie, I was worried it would be soggy and overdone), and the creamy, rich sauce had a really delicious truffle taste and aroma. 423 yen might seem expensive for a ready made bag of pasta, but I actually think the quality was good -- and it's far cheaper than what a pasta dish at a restaurant would cost!

I definitely think that if you're a pasta purist you might be turned off by the idea of heat and eat pasta from a bag. Don't let it deter you, though -- it was honestly really good! Of course, it's also cheaper to make pasta at home, but I don't really know where to obtain truffles from locally! Also, truffles are kinda expensive as far as I know, so maybe you could get pasta for cheaper, but not the truffles required to make the sauce. Not sure if it's a limited time only thing, so keep your eyes peeled for it if you have a Kaldi store near you.
