The good
First of all, without even tasting this cake it was stunning to look at. I love mille crepe cakes because of all those pretty layers, so if you appreciate that too then this is a real winner. Flavor-wise, it delivers as well. Every crepe layer is topped with whipped cream and strawberry chocolate, and then the whole thing is finished with a cherry blossom-scented whipped cream and a strawberry jam-style gloss. Everything worked really well together for a delicious dessert that manages to feel rather light. The price felt about where I would have expected it to be, so no real complaints in that regard.
The not so good
This is only a limited time dessert, so if you find yourself really enjoying it then you only have a small window to get your hands on it. In saying that, I'm sure that Doutor will release something equally delicious for sakura season next year, like most cafes tend to do! Overall, I would recommend this to anyone who likes sakura-inspired desserts, aesthetic sweets, or just a lighter-feeling cake option.
