I love a good fusion product, and this new Tirol Chocobat is a combination of two classic convenience store purchases. The familiar bread texture of Chocobat has a milky cream filling and a chocolate coated outer, doing its best to replicate the classic Tirol Milk chocolate flavor. The super reasonable price of 72 yen makes it an easy impulse buy (maybe that's actually a bad thing!) and I think it's an inexpensive way of satiating your chocolate cravings. My kids thought these were excellent, too!

There are a couple of downsides to this -- as far as I know it's a 7-11 only release, so there is a bit of limitation in terms of where you can find it. I know most folks can probably throw a stone and hit a 7-11 store, but depending on where in Japan you live it might actually be a little out of the way. Also, since it's a collaboration product, it might not be as appealing to people who aren't familiar with Tirol and Chocobat, but I do think they are two fairly big icons on the snack scene here. Give it a go if you're a fan of either product, the price is so reasonable that it's hard to resist!
