Coco Ichibanya is coming to Australia

Japanese curry was one of the very first foods I discovered here. It wasn't particularly adventurous, but that was exactly the point for someone like me who is a bit of a picky eater. A bowl of curry and rice was an easy, familiar, and comforting meal.

A friend back home sent me an article she'd seen this week, about Coco Ichibanya coming to my home city of Melbourne, and I was super excited to hear it! As an Australian living in Japan, there's something pretty satisfying about seeing a restaurant that feels like a piece of Japan making its way to my home city.

It's the kind of everyday Japanese dining experience that I think is particularly fun to see branching out overseas. I'm curious to know what the pricing back home will be like, though! If other Japanese cuisine there is anything to go by, it'll be far more expensive than it is here.

Does your home country have a branch (or branches) of Coco Ichi?
