The description

This product is a La France Daifuku, and it's a limited time offering available from Kaldi Coffee Farm stores. It was priced at 378 yen including tax.

The good

If you like pear-flavored things then this La France Daifuku from Kaldi Coffee Farm at the moment is well worth trying out. The soft daifuku outer is filled with whipped cream using Hokkaido-sourced dairy products, and then right in the middle there's a good amount of La France pear puree sourced from Yamagata. I'm a big fan of Japan's regional eats and I'm always enthused when they're incorporated into different sweet treats here. It is rather expensive IMO at 378 yen, but the quality was very good so I'd say it's not bad for a dessert that feels a bit more upmarket than a convenience store one.

The not so good

As I mentioned above this is quite expensive at 378 yen. Yes, the quality is good, but if you're just looking for a sweet treat then I would suggest the convenience store because you can likely find something similar at half the price! Also, this comes frozen, so you will need to thaw it until it's ready to eat. Not the best option if you're looking for instant gratification! Overall though, a fab flavor for the pear lovers out there, and I'd recommend trying it at least once. Hope you find it tasty if you do give it a go!
