This new sakura mochi donut in a floral strawberry milk custard flavor is a really delicious limited-time release. Visually, I think it's quite pretty to look at, but the star of the show here is really in the donut's fillings! The donut dough itself is sakura flavored, and this one comes with a filling of both strawberry milk bean paste and custard cream. The donut is then half-coated with white chocolate and topped with strawberry granules, which add both a bit of flavor and some nice visual contrast. I feel like the price is pretty decent, too, especially when you consider the several different components involved in making this.

If you prefer simpler donuts, this one might feel like it has a bit too much going on with it, with the varied fillings and coatings. On the flip side, if you find yourself really enjoying this, you've got a relatively short window of time in which to enjoy it. Always the case when it's just a limited time thing, but Misdo are pretty great with releasing fun sakura-flavored donuts each spring. Overall, a very delicious donut, especially if you're a custard lover like I am. Head in to your nearest Misdo store while you can if it sounds like a must-try item to you. Happy eating! :)
