The description

This product is a cup of baked cheese tart flavored ice cream from the Haagen-Dazs brand. It was priced at 319 yen and was purchased from my local 7-11.

The good

The flavor of this was really, really good. I felt like it was reminiscent of a creme brulee, with a rich caramel-style sauce. There are also cookie pieces mixed in with the ice cream too, which I loved -- I'm a big fan of ice creams that have several flavors and textures in them, I think it keeps you from being bored with one texture and taste. The portion size is also just right for a single serving, which I appreciate. If I had any larger of a portion I'd have overdone it, but this allows you to have just enough!

The not so good

Although I do think the serving size is just right for a single portion, it's the price that can be hard to swallow (no pun intended). For 319 yen this is a rare indulgence and not something I would feel justified in purchasing on a regular basis, even if I really enjoy it. There are much more inexpensive options at convenience stores to get your ice cream fix, and whilst I did like the flavor of it, it wasn't so good that I'd pay that price for it again. I still would say it's worth a try at least once if you enjoy creme brulee-style flavors.
