This chocolate babka is a new addition to the Starbucks dessert menu, and I think it's a worthy one! It's fairly simple -- a danish-style pastry which has a braided/twisted appearance to it, and a chocolate filling. The chocolate is generously added throughout the pastry so you can taste it in every bite, and I highly recommend opting to have it heated up (which was the recommendation of the staff member!) since it makes the chocolate all melty and gooey. Price-wise I think it's fairly decent at 390 yen including tax -- it's definitely a lot cheaper than most other desserts at Starbucks right now!

This is only a limited time offering, so if you find yourself really liking it, the window to get your hands on it is relatively short. I'm not 100% sure how long this will be around for, but I would be guessing a few weeks or so. If it sounds like something you'd deem as a must-try, I'd recommend heading in to your nearest Starbucks store sooner rather than later! Overall, a simple dessert -- pastry and chocolate -- but sometimes I think that combo is all you need for a satisfying sweet treat. Hope that you enjoy it if you end up giving it a try! :)
