This product is a two-pack of macaron flavors -- strawberry and chocolate -- and they were purchased from Lawson's Uchi Cafe sweets range. They were priced at 230 yen including tax.
The good
I like a good macaron from time to time, but there aren't really any local bakeries that sell them here -- at least not that I've encountered. It's a treat when I see them available at convenience stores, and I liked that this pack from Lawson had two different flavors in it. The richness of the chocolate flavor and the vibrant fruity taste of the strawberry flavor were great to contrast against one another. I also felt that the price was pretty reasonable at 230 yen for both of them. At dedicated macaron stores in Tokyo and the like you pay FAR more for just a single macaron -- so this isn't bad value for money at all.
The not so good
My macaron preference is to have a little more in the way of inner filling, and these two macarons were a little on the lighter side when it came to that. They weren't bad by any stretch -- in fact, quite the opposite! I enjoyed them a lot, but just wish they had a bit more filling inside them. Other than that, these were a good value option for easily accessible macarons. If you also like macarons I'd recommend checking at your nearest Lawson to see if they are available near you.
