If I had to pick a favorite dessert, cheesecake would be very close to the top of that list. I'm also a big fan of blueberry flavored sweets, so when I saw this new cheesecake at Starbucks I thought I had to try it with my coffee. The cheesecake presents very well from a visual perspective, with a light purple-ish hue to it. It's also topped with a generous amount of actual blueberries, which I thought was fun (and delicious). The taste was fabulous as well -- no complaints there, I thoroughly enjoyed this and would probably purchase it again if it was still available when I visit in the future.

The biggest downside to me about this product was the price, at almost 500 yen for the single slice. Yes, it was delicious, and yes, it presented well. But it's a mass-produced cheesecake for a chain store -- and for that price I'd really prefer to be supporting an independent bakery or cake shop. Even at independent bakeries/cake shops the price is usually cheaper for a single slice, so it did feel a bit on the spendy side. It's still delicious, though, so if you're a fan of all things blueberry I'd say it's worth trying. Not sure exactly how long it's set to be around for, so I'd recommend checking at your local Starbucks while you can.
