The description
This product is a Fresh Chocolate French Noir Donut, and it's a limited-time collaboration item between Mister Donut and Godiva. It was 275 yen for eat-in, slightly cheaper for to-go.
The good
As far as value for money goes, this Fresh Chocolate French Noir Donut is the cheapest option in Mister Donut's current collaboration range with Godiva. It's relatively simple if you prefer your donuts without a laundry list of toppings and fillings -- this one just consists of a chocolate donut with a chocolate-flavored glaze, and then the whole thing is garnished with a drizzle of white chocolate. I liked that this one was fairly straightforward, and the price does make it a bit more justifiable to purchase than some of the other ones in the range which are around the 350 yen mark.
The not so good
If you do prefer your donuts with all the bells and whistles of some of the more "gourmet" ones, then this offering might feel a little lackluster. Personally though, I thought it was good, and it was probably my kids favorite of the bunch. For the price I think this is well worth trying if you enjoy all things chocolatey. I'm not 100% sure how long Mister Donut will be stocking this range, so if it (or any of the other ones!) sound like must-try items to you, I would recommend heading in to your nearest store sooner rather than later. Happy eating, and I hope you enjoy it if you end up giving it a go!
