Plum blossoms and snow

I've been trying to sort out files on my computer this year, as I guess a bit of an informal new year's resolution...and I've been enjoying looking at lots of "throwback" pictures from my time living here.

One that I was nostalgic for was my house when I lived in Tokyo, which had a plum blossom tree out the front. Now, it's not all that often that Tokyo gets much snow, but there were a couple of times when it snowed while the plum blossoms were already blooming. There's something so lovely about seeing the stark white snow and the bright pink blossoms, or at least I think there is!

Have you ever been able to enjoy the combination of snow and blossoms, or is it quite a rarity for them to line up in your part of Japan?
